Below are some of our favorite portable tech deals going right now, from a folding keyboard to a cheap smartwatch. Not only do these deals fit in your pocket, but they’re also generally cheap enough that you can fit them into your budget, as well.

The one major drawback with cool tiny gadgets these days is that they can easily get lost. If you need some help keeping tabs on the small stuff, Tile Mate item finders are just the ticket. The keychain-sized Tile Mate is a diminutive 1.3 inches long and is just 0.2 inches thick. Simply attach a tracker to any item and you can use the Tile companion app to locate it virtually anywhere. Even without the app, you can still find nearby items by remotely making the Tile vibrate, flash, or ring.

The Anker USB 3.0 SD card reader can make your life a little easier. It has SD and MicroSD card slots that let you read and write both simultaneously on any computer. It’s compatible with all types of MicroSD cards, too, and will only set you back $13 from Amazon. This is a great piece of equipment for photographers and on-the-go professionals.
A good pair of earbuds is invaluable if you’re frequently on the move and don’t want to be without your music and other entertainment, and when it comes to in-ear headphones, you can’t beat a classic: The Panasonic ErgoFit earbuds remain one of the best and most popular pairs you can buy, with more than 50,000 Amazon reviews. If you don’t want to dish out the cash for a pair of wireless earphones like the AirPods, these headphone earbuds are available in a variety of colors at around $10 on Amazon (and just a few bucks more for the model with an in-line microphone).
Once again, users can instantly transform the Surface Book 3 from a traditional laptop to a tablet by detaching the display from the keyboard with the press of a button. Of course, there’s also the option to flip the screen and use the base as a stand while gaming or creating content.
The notebook's keyboard is superb, offering backlit keys with just the right amount of travel and tactility. The glass trackpad is also precise and dependable as usual.
The Surface Book 3 has a rich and futureproof selection of wired and wireless connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. The optional Surface Dock 2 accessory, on the other hand, offers even more connectivity ports in case you need them.
With a 3:2 aspect ratio, the detachable display is also as versatile as the rest of the device’s hardware. I enjoyed being able to view and edit full pages of documents side by side on the 15-inch Book 3 I tested in landscape mode without zooming out to fit them in — the process is nowhere near as convenient on a typical laptop with a 16:9 display. In portrait mode, the touch screen is ideal for reading, browsing, or taking notes with the Surface Pen.
The Surface Pen is essential for taking full advantage of the Surface Book 3 and its PixelSense Touchscreen, and I wish Microsoft didn’t charge extra for it. The Surface Dial, on the other hand, is an optional accessory that’s tailor-made for creative work.
The laptop's battery life is as head-spinning and reliable as its processing and graphics power are — up to 17.5 hours of mixed use for the 15-inch model (15.5 hours for the 13.5-inch). While testing the big notebook, I consistently made it through a full workday with the display brightness set well above 50%. Considering the hardware specs and the versatility of the notebook, this is as good as it gets.
I was impressed by the performance of the notebook during video calls as well. Thanks to pro-grade microphones and a Full HD webcam, I looked and sounded crisp during virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams and Zoom. The device’s speakers are also impressive for its form factor.
It's a meltingly warm July afternoon. You're still working from home. Every fibre of your being cries out for a Calippo, a Twister, a 99 flake. But the ice cream man? He's nowhere to be seen. You're doomed to expire, overheated and under-ice creamed. Should've invested in this little maestro, which can do you 12 different types of chilled treats including gelato, sorbet, fro-yo and ice cream, and keep them all perfectly chilled. Play 'Greensleeves' on a Casio keyboard while eating for the full experience.
A lot of sports professionals sing the praises of the Theragun – the rapid-movement deep muscle massager designed to aid recovery and relieve tension – but the price and size of the device can prove prohibitive to casual gym-goers. But now we have the Mini – the little but no less beastly brother of the Theragun, featuring three power settings ranging up to a 2,400 percussions per minute. It’s highly transportable and boasts new quieting tech, and while you can’t sync it up to the app, that’s a small concession to make for a big price drop.
A sleek new line-up of Sonos speakers are now available to pre-order, and the Arc smart soundbar looks the most exciting. It promises cinema-quality sound, with eight woofers and Dolby Atos – a new technology standard that really amps up the capabilities of surround sound. It’s as stylish and understated as you’d expect a Sonos soundbar to be, too. Elsewhere, the company is introducing the Sonos Sub Gen 3 (a new look with deep bass capabilities) and the Five (ditto, coming in the cheapest at £499). All three devices are available globally from 10 June, and you can pre-order them here.
